A Streetcar Named Desire

Directed by Gary Pugh Newman

April 24 to May 10, 2020

The 6th production of the 2019-2020 Season

In light of the evolving global COVID-19 pandemic and current shelter-in-place order,  and out of an abundance of caution for our performers and patrons, it is with heavy hearts that Pacifica Spindrift Players has decided to cancel its upcoming production of Tennessee Williams’ legendary classic “A Streetcar Named Desire”, which had been scheduled to open April 24, 2020

If you’ve already purchased tickets to “A Streetcar Named Desire,” please reach out to our box office to discuss exchanging your tickets for any other production of the upcoming season.

If you’d like to donate the price of your ticket to PSP as we – along with the entire theatre community – struggle during this unprecedented time, please know that your generosity is enormously appreciated, and will go toward supporting our little theater in the woods and keeping arts alive on the coast – through this global crisis and for many years beyond.

Written by: Tennessee Williams

Full of heart-wrenching passion, Streetcar is 20th-century American theatre at its finest.  It tells the story of a neurotic and fragile Southern belle, Blanche DuBois, whose faded gentility clashes with her sister Stella’s gruff and brutish husband, Stanley Kowalski, precipitating a tragic downward spiral.
