Cast Bios:

  • Chloë Angst has been performing her whole life in genres from punk rock to opera. They were most recently seen as Emma Goldman in Ragtime (Lyric Theatre). Other favorite roles include Emcee in Cabaret (Sunnyvale Community Players), Eva Perón in Evita (Landmark), Bridget in Lizzie (City Lights), and the title role in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Foothill Music Theatre). She holds a bachelor’s in vocal performance from CSUS and a master’s in applied anthropology from SJSU. She leads B.A.D. Musical Theatre, a collaborative project whose mission is to advocate for diversity, innovation, and progress in Bay Area community theatre. www.chloeangst.com
  • Kymi Armour is a Chicago native and started singing at the tender age of 7 and hasn’t stopped since. Kymi embodies sexy soul. Her fans say her voice is reminiscent of Deniece Williams and Whitney Houston. Her melodious soprano voice is filled with passion, emotion and sincerity which her songwriting captures and elevates. Kymi is a true artist with a unique perspective on love and life. Kymi has successfully released two CDs, with her ‘Sounds of the Season’ Christmas CD ranking well on iTunes. Kymi performs locally at Bay Area clubs and restaurants and various cities throughout the US. She is now following a great soul singer tradition of lending her soulful voice to musical theater. Ms. Armour is a graduate of the DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where she studied Music and holds a Bachelor’s Degree. She also holds and MBA from Pepperdine University.
  • Carla Johnson – Begin with Inspirational/Gospel roots and then season with Classical training. Add the  tapestry of Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, a splash of Neo-soul sprinkled with a little Pop and you have just a taste of Carla “CJ” Johnson’s  vocal virtuosity. With a four-octave range, CJ holds a captive audience with tears and laughter along the journey. She is a California native, raised in East Palo Alto. CJ has opened  for  Oleta Adams, and performed behind Patti LaBelle, Rance Allen, Clifton Davis Jr.,  Edwin Hawkins and Lyle Lovett. CJ is warm, engaging and uplifting with an infectious smile.
  • Arielle Rothamn – Singing since the age of 5, she has starred in over 20 musicals including favorites; Eponine in Les Miserables, Dorthy in The Wiz, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and Roxie in Chicago. Winning SF Musical Concerto Award & best pop vocalist at Beach Blanket Babylon competition helped Arielle to co-write & produce her 1st EP which led to consistent writing & recording. After multiple singles & shows, her music video secured a place on stage in 2010 Miami Fanfest SuperbowlXLIV. Singing National Anthem at sporting events including NY Yankees, Red Sox, Oakland A’s baseball games, Golden Gloves & Championship UFC matches. Last year getting back to her musical theatre roots in Sister Act at Hillbarn, she is so excited to and grateful to be joining the very talented cast of Juke Joint Jukebox for the very first time!
  • Gary Stanford Jr is the creator of Juke Joint Jukebox and is thrilled to be bringing it to PSP. He has recently completed a 2022/2023 stint as dance choreographer for Mathilda (Mills High School), Head Over Heels (Capuchino HS), Grease (SSFHS) and 9 to 5 (Hillsdale HS). As a stage actor, he recently enjoyed his theater adventures as Elisha Whitney in Anything Goes (42nd Street Moon Theater) in SF, as King Powell in Presidio Theater’s production of Sleeping Beauty in SF, as Tom Collins in RENT with Marin Musical Theater Company, and as Rudolph Reisenweber with Mountain Play’s production of HELLO DOLLY. When not performings, you can catch him as the Director of Education, leading the 42nd Street “Moonschool” programming, which brings art and performance opportunities to youth in SF, Daly City, and Mill Valley. He hopes you enjoy the show and wonders of Musical Theater!!!
