Calling All Volunteers!

Have you ever thought about getting more involved with PSP?

Do you value live theatre as part of your local community?

Do you want to help define the future of community theatre in Pacifica?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, WE NEED YOU!

Fog Fest – September  45-25

Pacifica’s own Pacific Coast Fog Fest is back this September for the first time since 2019, and Pacifica Spindrift Players is delighted to return to staff one of the Fest’s booths pouring and selling a classic Pacifica cocktail – the Fog Cutter.

As in previous years, the Fog Fest organizers provide local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to volunteer to staff the festival’s concession booths for a portion of proceeds from sales, so Fog Fest represents not only a fun opportunity to connect with the community, but also a chance to help fund PSP’s efforts to bring live theater back to our stage.

However, we can’t staff our booth without your help! We need 4 adult (21+) volunteers in the booth at all times in order to meet festival requirements, so we hope you’ll consider signing up for a 3-hour shift or two. Training will be provided on site when you arrive – all you need to bring is your sunscreen!

Guys and Dolls Hospitality and Ushers – September 16-25

As our creative team prepares for opening weekend of Guys and Dolls, we’re looking for volunteers to help with check-in, ushering and hospitality for each performance of our 2-week run.

Volunteer responsibilities might include checking COVID-19 vaccine cards as audience members arrive, helping patrons select their seats and helping to reinforce mask usage inside the theater, and selling drinks and snacks before the show and during intermission.

All volunteers earn a free ticket to see the show (either for the performance worked or for another weekend) as well as our unending gratitude in being a part of bringing live theater back to the Pacifica.

Join our Volunteer Team

PSP is in desperate need of dedicated volunteers who are interested in joining PSP as we recover from our recent flooding and emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.

While PSP has always been an entirely volunteer-run organization, the number of volunteers left running the theatre in 2022 is currently smaller than ever.

We’re hoping to recruit people who might be interested in any variety of roles and levels of commitment at PSP, including

  • Production volunteers – production managers, stage managers, set/lighting/costume designers, set builders and painters, sound designers, board operators
  • Hospitality volunteers – ushers, concessions, box office
  • Flood recovery and facility support
  • Marketing and social media volunteers
  • Fundraising event coordinators
  • Developing a sponsorship program for local businesses
  • Updating our patron database and donation records
  • Continuing our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts

We truly have never needed volunteer support more than we do now.

Please email Jordana at if you are interested in learning more about any of these roles and are able to help in any capacity.

Thank you for helping to keep PSP alive!
