COVID-19 Health Policy

Pacifica Spindrift Players is committed to bringing back the magic of live indoor theatre, while remaining aware of the fact that community transmission of COVID-19 continues to present an ongoing risk, particularly during the current surge in cases associated with the Omicron variant.

In order to help reduce the risk associated with attending live theatre, Pacifica Spindrift Players has implemented the following risk reduction measures at all live indoor performances:

  • Limited audience size to less than half capacity
  • Mask use required at all times for all patrons and volunteer staff
  • Installation of multiple HEPA-filtration air purifiers throughout the lobby, restrooms, and theatre to improve ventilation
  • Closing the first two rows of theatre seating to increase the distance between our audience and small cast of four performers (who will be maskless only while performing)
  • Regular COVID-19 testing for our fully vaccinated and boosted cast
  • COVID-19 Compliance Officer certification for our stage manager
  • Detailed isolation protocols for any symptoms or exposures
  • Fully rehearsed cast of understudies ready to step in if needed
In order to further support our risk reduction efforts, Pacifica Spindrift Players further asks its patrons’ support in adhering to the following policies:

  • All patrons are asked to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination and photo ID prior to entry for all performances.
  • All volunteers and patrons are required to wear a mask over the mouth and nose at all times while indoors.
  • Please stay home if you’re experiencing any possible symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, chills, cough, nasal congestion, sore throat, chest pain, breathing difficulty, loss of smell, or stomach upset) at or within 10 days prior to the performance, or have had direct close contact with someone with COVID-19, at any time in the 14 days prior to the date of the performance.

By purchasing tickets to and attending performances at Pacifica Spindrift Players, audience members agree to accept any risk that may result from their voluntary participation in this activity.
